Motor Fault Detected: turtle mode

Has anyone had a motor fault detected that cleared on its own?

This occurred twice for me. Both times while on the expressway. It limits you to 42mph max. Extremely unsafe. But after stopping and later returning to the vehicle it was cleared. Chicago SC will investigate next Monday at my appt but of course I’m hesitant to drive until then…

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Have the truck had the wiring harness/windshield wiper nexus fixed? There is a thread here somewhere about that. In my truck the windshield wiper motor was rubbing the wiring harness and causing a similar fault. Easy fix...

I did just get the windshield replaced the week prior…That’d be amazing if that’s all it is!! I’ll search for the other post but I assume that’s not an at-home fix? Service center visit? Thanks so much for the quick reply and information.

There was a list of trucks with problem: Rivian Customer Satisfaction Campaign - Improperly routed cowl harness may make contact with windshield wiper mechanism | Rivian Forums - R1T & R1S Owners, News, Discussions, RIVN Stock In your case, maybe the windshield replacement caused the rubbing. In my case, back in April, they didn't have mobile set up yet so flatbedded my truck in and got it back within 2 days. Mobile service may be able to do it.
