May/June Deliveries Thread

I think everyone who’s gotten a narrower window from CS has been told May, which makes me think it’s just the default placeholder for the system (or that optimistic assumptions are the default, which at this point produces May as the answer).

I contacted them I think the Friday before the pricing fiasco and didn't get a narrowed window. Was told still on track for May-June. so YMMV ?‍

May/June R1S LE ordered 3/19 here. Socal. Nothing but crickets so far.

May/ June for me. With my location (upstate NY) and reservation date I will be ecstatic If I get delivery in June. After all the delays thus far I was mentally preparing for late summer. super glad to hear that to date they are still forecasting May/ June for those of us that were given that slot. Hoping to hear from my guide by early May.

8/20 Preorder LG R1S BM 20" ATs

But I take my May/June date with a grain of salt. That's the date I was assigned for my original R1T (same config). I then switched to R1S earlier this year. Then back to R1T after the pricing debacle.

I just talked to CS and they assured me May/June was still my timeframe for the R1S and that was for the 2/28 config (R1S) - I honestly think my delivery window should be July-Sept based on me being in the last R1T LE group and July-Sept being the last R1S LE group.

3/10/2022, 9:56:53 AM - Jordan: So, with the prices being honored to their originals for orders placed on or before March 1, lots of folks made changes to their configurations on the first and second. Basically, our engineers are working on reverting prices, and once that's done, preorders are going to be reinstated to their form on February 28, right before the pricing updates.

Going with FE interior seems to be the most likely reason why.

I’m a little worried that picking 21” wheels may be a factor also…..

R1T launch green, black mountain interior, off road package, 20" rims.

May-June R1S LE LG OC 21" road and CS said earlier this week that I should expect a Guide contact 4-6 weeks before whenever that window gets solidified. So, mid-April I will check back with CS on that.

I am a M/J, LE Compass YellowR1T BM, 20”. August 2020 reservation. I may switch to R1S though. I’m not making an $80k decision without looking at both to see what works best.

I talked with CS and they said there would be an S at the Venice hub soon.

October 2019 R1S LE order (RB,OC,22" Bright). Fingers crossed but as an Illinois resident, I am hoping I can push into early July (State $4,000 tax rebate kicks in on 7/1/22). After last nights earnings call... what are your thoughts on timelines? I feel R1T delivery will be on schedule, but since we have not really even seen an R1S, SUV will be pushed.

I don't think the schedule will affect LE R1S. They still are planning to produce a larger number of vehicles in 2022 than there are LE orders (nobody knows for sure, but I'd bet my salary there are not 15k LE R1s). I really don't think anyone with a delivery window this year should be concerned with one exception - availability of FE/OC interiors, since we haven't seen those ship in volume yet and there could be supply constraints that mean they simply can't manufacture LEs with those configured in 2022 without delays.

So the good news is OC and FE interiors seem to be delaying deliveries. So with OC you might be able to push it back to July.

I'm also hoping to push my May/June to July 1st.
