Well, we're having fun 3 weeks into ownership.
On a little weekend trip, about 200 miles from home. About 10 miles from our destination I got a turtle icon and the rear motors were disabled (had been driving in all purpose). No other issues with the truck and was able to maintain speed and finish the drive to the hotel.
We checked in and went to park and heard an awful grinding noise. Was able to get into a parking spot, reset the vehicle, still have the noise but no other warnings or indicators of a problem other than something clearly wrong if I try to move the truck. Does not seem like a software issue at all.
If I put the truck in Conserve mode everything seems fine.
I called service and the advisor I talked to is checking on what to do. We're about 150 miles from a service center.
I'm nervous to drive in conserve, I'd rather be stuck at the hotel than on the side of the road.
Anyone experience anything similar?
Any idea what Rivian might provide in circumstances like this?
