Wow this is incredibly bad... now reconsidering the Rivian for my cold Colorado winters.
I charge exclusively outdoors in Colorado with the included portable charger and don’t have this problem.

Do you charge from a 120v outlet or 240? I wouldn't expect problems on 240v.

I'm assuming you just did the latest update.

As you see it is the accessory usage not the temperature control.

Best bet is to let the truck deep sleep. Park it away from keys, lock, and let it sit for an hour or 2.

Mine fixed this after a deep sleep. I've heard others have done hard resets to fix the accessory usage.

wow! spends all it's power trying to heat up the batteries! I wish I could get details on this

That shouldn’t be too surprising at those temps. A typical space heater will use every bit of 1.2kW and that is the same you get from a 110V outlet. Pretty hard to come out positive in this case with the other accessories using energy.

Hope you get your L2 outlet Installed soon.

Well ya, of course 240v and whatever amps is going to keep the Rivian battery from depleting in the cold, but it's still going to waste a ton of energy keeping the battery warm.

Power source doesn’t matter, it doesn’t require anywhere near the energy consumed by these guys to keep the battery warm. The truck is not shutting off which is why there is a massive amount of cabin and accessory power being drawn. I’ve charged on 120v from a generator and not seen that kind of parasitic draw.

This is after cold soaked battery charged at 8amps 110V. No HVAC, no gear guard, camp mode set to off. Phone app off. At least my battery was warm for DCFC afterwards.

did you let the truck deep sleep, or perform a hard reset?

Something isn’t right. I had to use level 1 to warm up my battery yesterday to get it out of turtle mode and I had only .1kwh of accessory use.

Last year I left my Tesla unplugged outside on a cold night (like -25 F) and the cold weather vampire ate 40%.

I suspect that your negative 5% might have been worse if you hadn't been plugged in. Vehicle needs to heat the batteries whether you charge it or not because very cold temps can damage it.
Unless the temperature is really down like around -20F a lithium battery should be okay, but yeah you do have to heat it significantly to charge because below freezing the anode lattice contracts and can't properly absorb ions.

I would probably rather just leave the truck unplugged rather than in 110 on extreme cold, if you plugged it in right after driving and there's some residual heat that might help.
