Is this a screen protector?

So I just picked up and new-to-me R1T and I think the previous owner installed screen protectors but I'm not sure since I've never seen any other rivian screens first hand. Is the notch in this pic indicative of a protector or the normal screen?

Yes it is lots of companies now making them. Probably installed on the dash and rear display as well if they put one on the main display.

It is indeed on all three. That's why I wasn't sure if it was stock or not. ? I want to put a matte protector on just to kill the fingerprints and glare and wanted to sure I wasn't doubling up.

To me the Matte ones I have seen seem to make the crisp pictures kind of dull and slightly blurry and makes it harder to see in some glare situations. Someone else that's on here may pop in and say otherwise but I debated on getting one for the finger prints up until the day I saw one in person. Now I just have a microfiber in the door pocket ready to go.

I have the Spigen matte protector. There seems to be some degree of dulling, but not enough to take it off. The glare from the center screen can be pretty bad at times, and is way worse than the slight optical degradation. I didn't see the need (and still don't) to put a protector on the other two screens.

Congratulations! I have the matte twraps screen protectors. They aren't too bad... reduced glare and fingerprints.

I've got matte protectors on my iPads and have been good with the trade-off in crispness so far. The fingerprints do drive me nuts and I personally don't understand glossy screen protectors (I also run my phone without a case....maybe I live dangerously ?)

Undecided, but really just trying to figure out if that was a protector or stock. Thanks for the insights!

I have Twraps Matte screen protectors on all 3 screens. Reduces the glare on the screens and the fingerprints on the center and rear screens.

I also have the TWraps matte protectors. Work fantastic for blocking fingerprints. I find that it makes it hard to see in some glare situations, but I’m not blinded by the reflection that I would have otherwise, so still a win. I wouldn’t be able to see the screen in either situation…

I have the abstract ocean matte protectors as they are glass not plastic. High quality and excellent light transmission. Would recommend.

Yes, you have a gloss finish protector. I have the matte finish. It helps cut down glare and doesn't show finger prints. Also, Welcome to the Forums. We're glad to have you with us. We are also in the Florida Panhandle in Walton County. There are a few Rivians around here, but not a whole bunch. Also, it would be helpful to include your vehicle information in your signature which can be added from the signature section on your account page.
