I suppose electrification is inevitable. For now I rather appreciate the Ineos commitment to low-tech, bomb-proof, proven mechanical systems. Steering from a tractor!? 8-year old BMW I-6 engine!? 15 year old ZF transmission!? It will be a great stablemate for anyone with a high-tech, cutting-edge R1 already in the garage.
