I temporarily disconnected one of the negative battery terminals to install off-road lights. afterwards a light showed up on the dash in the shape of the defrost icon in yellow with an "!" The hvac screen will come up but I can not turn anything on. also the truck will now only charge at 3kw on my normal 11kw charger. I have tried all 3 reset types multiple times with no luck and also check every fuse in the truck. I have contacted rivian and waiting on a response. I am open to any ideas but otherwise I just want to document my experience here for others.

I've heard you have to time the reconnection of both batteries exactly to clear errors out. Not speaking from experience.

I was able to determine this was the thermal management control module based on what Rivian updated the name of my service request to. Then I check and found a Fuse labeled TMM_PWR aka Thermal management module. The fuse was fine but removing it an reinstalling reset the system and fixed my problem. Hope this helps if anyone else ever has the same issue.

I had the exact same problem and followed your advice. Fuse was intact. unplugged it and put it back and everything is now back to normal. greatly appreciate you sharing your post.

Thanks. This helped me too. Rivian mobile service change my 12v battery today and left me with this issue. All fixed now.
