How often do you remove your wheel covers to clean (21s)?

I really do like the look of the 21s with my plastic wheel covers, but man do I hate cleaning them. I drive a lot of dirt roads in the mountain (especially in summer hiking season), and I find that a ton of dirt collects underneath there, necessitating removing to fully clean. It's not that big of a deal, but just kind of a PITA.

I thought about just removing them, but they've already damaged the wheels underneath so I would have to get the wheels repaired somewhere. I also much prefer the looks of the wheels with the covers on them.

How often do those of you with 21s (and still have the covers) remove them to wash the wheels underneath?

I stopped running them altogether on my 21" Road wheels. I am never in a situation where the possible range impact is an issue, and I think the wheels look better without them, and as you state, it makes keeping the wheels clean easier for sure. Plus I noticed they tended to come loose at certain points and was worried they may end up marring the wheels.

Yeah unfortunately mine had already marred the wheels when I bought it (used), so I would have to pay a wheel guy to fix them.

I never take them off anymore. Used to but ive grown to like the look. I have elcap granite for my body color and I think they look really good together.
