Looking at Rivian Runners post, it confirms my prediction that Tesla will easily sell out CT production rate of over 120k vehicles per year. It’s an iconic vehicle that combines utility, comfort, driving dynamics and cool factors that no other vehicle can claim. R1T will struggle to sell 20k per year based on the recent guidance. R1T does everything decently well, but doesn’t stand out.
As i previously said, Rivian needs to add more techs such as steer by wire, rear wheel steering, improve ride quality, and license FSD from Tesla and get rid of Alexa.

It’s cute that you are now “confirming” your own sock puppet’s posts :CWL:

Agree with this fully. Saw a wrapped CT yesterday (matte black) and honestly thought it was probably somewhere between 25% to 50% less ugly than the upwrapped trucks I've seen previously.
50% less ugly means it goes from 0-Ugly in 2 seconds instead of one.

It's not that simple. Adding those things will push the cost to produce a Rivian truck way up. They can't even sell them at break even without those features. Tesla can do it due to their very high manufacturing efficiency, that's what allows Tesla to bring so much value to the EV truck market without pricing them so high that they run out of buyers.

Steer-by-wire and four-wheel steering increases production costs by a considerable amount. Sure, it makes for a better truck, but people have to find it compelling and be able to afford them.

Why does this always have to happen? I'm amazed at the disconnect from reality displayed in this thread.

Since my truck lives outside in the rain, under the trees, it gets quite rusty. Here's one showing all the rust:

Oh, wait, that's just mud. I can't find any pictures showing all the rust. Maybe that's because it doesn't rust.. The body care is super easy, I just wash it with soap and water and a long-handled truck washing brush. Then hose it off and dry. No waxing, no harsh chemicals. It always looks great after a wash and it has self-passivated, so fingerprints don't stand out. I can spot clean with some Sprayway glass cleaner, removes all traces of fingerprints and doesn't strip the passivation layer. I've never had a truck that was so easy to keep looking nice. That said, it's muddy more than it's clean! Having too much fun hooning around the mountains.

Dang! This thing packs a load better than my F-150, far better, it's actually not even a contest! I could barely tell I had a load going down the super steep, torn up portion of this mountain road, the load didn't get upset like it does on my F-150 and the regen felt like it automatically increased with the weight, I didn't even need to use the friction brakes descending a 12% grade. Just amazing the way it drove. This load is ~2500 lbs. (including myself and tools) and the rear axle load rating is exceeded by a couple hundred lbs. This is "Entry Mode" ride height. As I was loading each round or two it made a slight hissing noise periodically as it self-leveled, as soon as I put it in gear it raised up level and drove like it wasn't even taxed.

Accessing some alpine trailheads early in the season. I was the first one up this road since last fall. It's steeper than it looks, the Cybertruck's ground clearance and locking differentials made it easy.

So much fake negativity about Cybertruck, people I run into in the mountains driving other off-road vehicles love it. Some of them are surprised I could make it (they have heard Cybertruck is no good in snow or on rugged terrain, LOL!). I've hung out with Jeep, Toyota, Ford owners multiple times for half and hour or more just shooting the shit.

They go away impressed and better educated. I wouldn't be surprised if some of them Google it when they get home. This thing is going to be a runaway hit, it's a real sleeper right now. The title of this thread is comedic, given what I've seen in terms of interest.

Cheers!
where are your hub caps? do you enjoy looking at your rusty hubs because no one at tesla in 4 years of testing discovered that the hub caps would damage the sidewalls? Seems like a pretty easy thing to notice so if that was overlooked what ELSE did they miss?

Huh? There are hubcaps on in all the photos posted, the angle is wrong to see them. Here's a photo more from the side-view where the hubcaps are visible:

Look, I know the haters are pushing the fake narrative that Cybertrucks are rusting, trying to make anything stick, but reasonably intelligent people aren't actually buying into such desperate BS. It's the oldest trick in the book, to take the greatest strength of a thing, like being the most rust-resistant truck ever made, and trying to turn that against it, by lying. I'm not kidding when I say that's what's going on here.

I live in a rainy climate with tree acids, road salts used on the mountain highways, salt air, you name it, everything rusts around here. There is an old saying, "Washingtonians don't tan, they rust". But the Cybertruck is the most rust-resistant vehicle I've ever seen. My brand new F-150 had visible surface rust on the frame the day I drove it off the lot.

Is this social media engineering by Tesla to get Rivian owners to buy CT? All these photos and script look staged. Whenever I am loading wood, I want to just get the job done. I don’t stop at some place to get some nice photos. It is work damn it.

Also, at this point this thread is pure noise in the Rivian forum and does not add value for Rivian owners.

PS. Shouldn’t the folks who love CT be in CT forum? Something is not adding up in my cerebral cortex

Well, at 61 years I'm not as strong as I once was, but the low bed height in "Entry" mode made it a lot easier. And the lack of wheel wells meant I could just roll them forward, three abreast.

It sounds like you have experience cutting firewood rounds, yes, green wood is still full of water, so it's heavier than it looks.
