Oddly ya it’s fine so far at Costco right now. (30+ mins) But I was able to repro it at Rivian service center after 5-10 mins.
Hopefully they get whatever diagnostics they need from the investigation to fix it for all affected.

edit: at home. Immediately having the bug after car sleeps now.
Hmmm yeah it very well could be location based. I can count on it happening at home

LOL @mpshizzle so I figured out the issue for me at least. It only happens when the PAAK is connected via Bluetooth. Hence why I can repro it at home, and at Rivian service center. But not while I was at Costco.

1) verified issue is present, Bluetooth shows PAAK connected.
2) turned off bluetooth on my phone and restarted the Rivian app, and problem is gone ? I rly rly hope Rivian gets to this bug s00n. (On top of the camp speaker always being discoverable on Bluetooth)

maybe this is a temporary fix for now. Seems to be working even after enabling Bluetooth and PAAK connection for now.

edit: hmm unfortunately shorty lived. I cannot apply this same mitigation when it occurred again

Love that ride, but really should have known it was grinning ghosts not gritty ghosts. Maybe we can get this as a car costume for next year.

Well I'm glad it at least is confirmed as a software thing. That means it's fixable!
