No instruction should be needed from your end. Our stores have best practices in place for this. If you do have any concerns though, I would raise them with the team member you're working with at check-in, so that everyone is on the same page.

We appreciate the feedback! Thank you for sharing and for giving us the opportunity to assist with the rotation!

We are not affiliated with this business. Our stores are identified by Discount Tire or America's Tire only. We are primarily known as America's Tire in California, however we do have a single America's Tire location in PA.

Thank you for this feedback as well as your long time support, Martin! It is greatly appreciated.

I agree, it would be ideal to have that functionality. I'll dig into this to see if there is a process in the works that addresses this. It would be neat if the user (or retailer) could make the diameter change from the touchscreen display during a reset procedure.
I find it crazy that you cannot do this (change tire sizes in the UI). On my BMW iX, I could either manually change the tire size when switching or let it auto detect the new size and strangely enough that worked. This should be basic functionality.

Hello Discount Tire,

I had a tire rotation recently performed at one of your stores on an R1S.

While I'm grateful you had the jack pucks, after the rotation, both of my front jack point covers were loose AND the rear ones were missing.

I emailed the "store manager" and never received a reply. I'm having Rivian mobile service replace the missing jack point covers tomorrow.

I appreciate that. Thank you. Sending a DM in a moment.

For anyone interested, look at this quote I got from Rivian to replace the missing jack point covers:

Just wanted to report that @Discount Tire here was very helpful. I received a call from the store manager yesterday who had unsuccessfully tried to order the covers from Rivian. I had told him I had already had Rivian mobile replace the covers and asked that they cover the parts cost and he agreed. I went to the store after work and got my refund.

Manager was very apologetic, said he was embarrassed because they were one of the first Discount Tires in the area to get the Rivian jack pucks and start working on Rivians, and mentioned the issue to staff at their morning meeting. Hopefully, it won't happen again with future Rivians there.

In retrospect, I should have just asked Rivian service to buy the parts, but I had another minor repair schedule via mobile and they just had the tech perform both services. I was at work while the tech was on site at my house doing the work. The labor cost, however, is still outrageous and I'll reach back out to Rivian. I could have replaced the parts myself or taken the vehicle back to Discount and have them replace them.

Regardless, I appreciate the @Discount Tire representatives here for their concerns and actions in my case.

I've been going to this local Discount Tire for many years. They offer free air, free tire rotations, and free tire repairs. Such goodwill and service is greatly appreciated by many around here.

I had the exact same experience with mine which got new tires last week.

I will say though, the advisor at DT i went to was extremely helpful and knew the Rivian’s very well. It was Jesse at the Littleton,CO location. I’d highly recommend him

When I get my next set of tires, I’m planning to get the repair/replace certificates. However, I do my own tire rotations. @Discount Tire, does that void the coverage provided by the certificates?

Just my 2c - but given the number of Rivians in the Puget Sound area, it would be nice if each DT store had at least one of the OEM Pirelli tires in stock - for me the 21s. It would be much more convenient to roll into a store with a non-reparable puncture and get a replacement, instead of having to wait 2 days for one to be shipped to the store...

This!!

I am on the wall inbetween ordering a doughnut spare that I can carry in the R1S, and purchasing a used rim/tire to keep at home for when it does happen.

Great question! You can take your vehicle wherever you choose to do tire rotations. Doing rotations yourself, or through someone else will NOT void the Certificate coverage.

Just wanted to share my experience with Discount Tire. I'll start by saying it was an excellent experience. I ordered tires on the DT website, which was easy to use, and had great tire choices, I ordered the Toyo OpenCountry AT3 126 load index online and scheduled the install there as well. Tires were shipped to the Roanoke, VA DT shop and there by the next day. I showed up 10 mins before appointment and the R1T was in the bay and being worked on before the appointment time. Whole process took 40 mins and include the road-force balance, which I recommend (truck rides far smoother than with the AT Pirelli's). Shout out to Alex at DT Roanoke, super knowledgeable, no nonsense, and eager to help. Whole team there was great.

I called my local DT this morning to schedule a rotation, and they told me they can't do the Rivian's. Said they had the jack pucks, but something about the lifts doesn't work with the larger vehicles. Anyone else encountered this?

It's a very uncommon size, and definitely not enough demand for managers to justify using up precious inventory space with something that fits just some of one vehicle at the moment. I highly recommend getting away from 21s for this reason. What if you find yourself in God's country with no Discount Tire around to help you? Do you want to wait a week for a replacement?

I've been a client for a very long time and your stores in the Huntington Beach, Cal area offer great customer service.

Please see if you can get more options for the 21" wheel, would love a A/T option, I heard Nokien is making one. Can you verify any info on that.

I have noticed that the Discount Tire location in Pensacola, Florida, offers alignment services. Are they set up to Rivian?
