Heat index was 110 here today. You don't own hot 😜. You've just got a drier hot. Yours will kill you faster though, I'll give you that.
And I'm surprised that your kind of extreme heat and day/night temp swings doesn't have more of an affect! I wonder if it's the heat+humidity that makes the films yellow and get brittle so fast down here.

Living in MI, I can't stand the heat...you can only take off so many layers when outside! At least I can add layers in the extreme cold snaps. With that being said, give me a dry hot if I have to be in it. Humidity sucks 🤣.

Good comparison of leading brands:

The process is to wash the car in the shade or inside. While it is wet, spray a few pulls of Iron Remover (Gyeon Iron for example) on each panel and lightly wipe the car with a clay bar, a clay mitt or a clay towel. Rinse well and dry. After an hour of drying, use a Ceramic Prep (Gyeon Prep for example). Let dry for an hour. There can not be any water on the car when you coat it. Watch a few videos before putting a coating on!

The videos cover really high-end coatings. I just do this process with Gyeon Can Coat (which is much cheaper and easier to apply) once a year. Not to save money, but Can Coat is a real ceramic coating that lasts over a year--even in Minnesota, and you need to do this process once a year anyway to keep any ceramic coating working well.
Coleton is awesome to watch and would happily support him if I lived in Colorao. I enjoy detailing stuff myself and learning from all the videos he has. I use Armour Detail for pretty much everything now since they are a smaller business but produce high-quality products. I know Coleton loves Pans coatings which almost anyone can install after watching some videos.

AMMMO NYC and Larry are amazing. Products are as good indicated/reviewed and worth every penny.
He works on great cars but in the YouTube world of detailing, his products are never mentioned in the mainstream detailing channels.

Irrelevant to PPF of course.

And I don’t understand living where it’s freezing cold and there is snow. At least here we can put on shorts and a T-shirt and use water and other cooling methods and still be comfortable. I don’t want to be covered like the Michelin man in restrictive clothing and not be able to do the things I love to do outside. If it’s down to 50, I don’t want to do anything. I’m outside with a swamp cooler right now.

But no humidity.

Really just that the surface is fully clean, you use an alcohol water solution to do that, and that you do the application right. Apply, let dry, buff, in small areas. Also if the car has ever been waxed before, you must remove it very thoroughly. There are products to do that.
That is why Gyeon Prep (many similar products) is the final step before applying the ceramic coating.
