I've got capital out right now for a few projects awaiting fulfillment, and this one didn't have enough demand for me to feel comfortable (67%) being out another $3k for a while.

I'm running around the Olympic Peninsula for CCTI the next 6 weeks with little free time, so unless folks are willing to pay an upcharge for priority ($3, so $25/gallon) that goes to our 501(c)(3), I'm tabling till May.

Thoughts?
As a refresher, this is concentrate, right? How many gallons of usable you you get out of a gallon of concentrate?

This is not scientific by any means, but I've had my R1T for 6 months and regularly top off the windshield washer reservoir with the scentless washer fluid and the original scent is still present. So, I'd say that you could cut the expensive stuff by about half and still get the benefit of the scent.

I've seen claims that this stuff also has the same smell but it is out of stock: https://www.scentco.net/wiper-breeze/

I've seen claims that the Costco green washer fluid has the scent, but I can confirm that this is false.

Has anyone confirmed that GC is really the stuff?

I'm astonished by how much time & energy has gone into this topic on various forums, including non-Rivian EV forums, with no solution to getting the product available at retail. Pep Boys, NAPA, O'Reilly, Autozone, Walmart, Amazon - are you even listening?

I'm still holding out hope for that sweet, sweet GC.

Maybe as more owners get their vehicles, the group buy can start back up at some point.

I've been getting my ass handed to me the last 8 weeks at work. This is the last week, then I take a break, and hopefully revive this and other efforts mid-May.

Yeah, no worries at all. Appreciate you taking this on, and whenever you are ready, I'll be ready. Or my money will be ready. Either way.

From Colorado, would you be willing to ship that far? I'm in for a stockpile of nice smelling stuff if/when you buy!

Also from CO...

I sent emails to the HQ of a few auto parts retailers to see if they would carry it with the angle that the growing community of EV owners are no longer purchasing the products that we had purchased in the past and that some of us are silly enough to pay $25 a gallon for a certain scented windshield washer fluid.

Just got off the phone with one of the retailers asking for more info. They seem very interested in carrying the product.

If you are interested in retailers carrying this product, maybe you could also take a few minutes to email your favorite retailers suggesting that they carry it. Heres a start for you:

"Product request - Genuine Chemistry Pink washer fluid.
I have a Rivian R1T. Now, this is a bit odd, but the windshield washer fluid that it comes with has a unique scent that is quite popular with the community of owners. There are quite a number of electric vehicle online forums of folks trying to sleuth out what the washer fluid product is and trying to locate it for retail purchase. Here is one example of a forum thread: https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/gc-washer-fluid-group-buy.12361/

Yes, people are willing to pay $18 - $25 gallon for this product.

Obviously, EV owners are purchasing fewer products from <auto parts retailer name>, but this is something that would get us into your stores."

Is it too late to jump in on the fun. I would purchase 4 Gal. I am just north of Vancouver, WA (Portland) and drive up to the San Juan Islands once a month. I could pick it up in the Seattle area, but I am usually making the drive through Seattle around 5am, so that might not be an option.

Once this starts back up, that may not be an problem. I get up for work at 5:20 multiple days a week and getting up a bit earlier wouldn't be an issue.
