Front tow hooks rusting

Hi guys
Was wondering if you have the same problem with the front tow hooks starting to rust?
I have decided topowder coat them black and maybe if people are interested i can do the same for you!!. I can also do the install as well.
I will have them back this week and I can share some pictures of the before and after. I live in the GTA greater Toronto Canada area.

Hmm...which front tow hooks? Unless they're busted up, I can't see them rusting more than some basic surface corrosion. Plus there are black/yellow rubber covers you can get for a few bucks. Powder coating them isn't going to fix the problem if you use them to the point where they're rusting. They're just going to rust/corrode again.

Maybe I'm missing something...

They never get used but have started showing rust coming through the paint. I will share some pics soon

Can they be removed/installed without removing the bumper cover? There are probably some who'd like them in Rivian's signature yellow.

Unfortunately the front bumper does need to come off to be installed.
And I am sure some would like it in yellow. For now I am going to do black and see how they come out.

But Rivian signature yellow has crossed my mind for sure !!!!!!!

I had this starting on mine, less than a year old, and never touched them. Rivian replaced them free, with zero issues. Can confirm the bumper needs to come off.

I snapped in a pair of yellow silicone covers (my R1T is Compass Yellow) literally the day I got the truck. I can't remember what I paid, but they were about ten bucks and I think I got them on Amazon. Can post a photo and will track down order info if that would be useful, but they're readily available. If there's any rust under them, I can't see it! And they do look snazzy! Also, they protect against scratches. Tomorrow, I'll be pulling my mower out of the mud with the truck, so I'll actually use them for more than decoration!

Those look like exactly the ones I got--at least close enough. The color doesn't quite match the paint of the Compass Yellow, but after a couple of weeks in sunlight they wouldn't match even if they started out doing so.

Same issues for me, I assumed it was the mag-chloride used in the winter on our roads. Started happening middle of my first winter. I will look into getting them swapped if Rivian will do that for free. If not, sadly caps it is.

I am getting them powder coated anyways so let's see how they turn out. Also I would prefer them black as opposed to silver. Should be getting them back tmr so will update with some photos.
