@Weber462 Thank you for starting this thread!

I didn't know anything about Plex yesterday, but you made me look it up. This is exactly what I've been looking for in terms of gaining control of my own content again.

I'm in the process of setting it up. It's not particularly Rivian related, but it is a nice service.

Yeah! my server is up to 80tb. Its like a netflix for stuff you actually own and wont change. You can essentially put all of your movies, cds, etc on one platform that is assessable from anywhere. Except Rivian of course. lol. But maybe that will change.

As I said above, it IS accessible from Rivian, using the Plex skill for Alexa. That's what I do.

"Alexa, ask Plex to play my _____ playlist"

You know what would solve this? And also simultaneously add support for every other less than super common audio & podcast service, mapping tool, and niche "apps" (things like fast food ordering, weather, parking finder, and and on) that people want?
No means no. Haven't you learned this yet, from all those HR training seminars at work?

I guess I was looking for the cleaner look, like the plex app, running on the Rivian UI. Organized by either artists, playlist, albums or year. I'm little old school and not in to using voice commands. But thank you for bringing the option to my attention, I guess I never thought about doing it that way.

Companies are not like people. The answer from companies is no until they hear people asking enough times and starts affecting the bottom line. And then suddenly it's not no.

Hello! Just pick up a sky blue Tri-max last week. Absolutely amazing machine! I was hoping for a addition of PLEX amp in to music options (like Spotify etc). I had tired the "cast" option, but feel this is dangerous because it forces you to look at phone. In a perfect scenario, i would be able to access my plex server via Connect+ and could skip, play, etc using the Rivian UI and hand controls. I came from a volvo C40 and apple carplay. I definitely don't really care about apple carplay specifically, but would like the functionally of plex amp on Rivian.

I am just amazed daily driving to work. Looking forward to being part of this community.

Maybe there is a work around I'm not aware of?

10000% yes please
