This may be old information for some, but new information for others. I spoke with customer service today. The "newest" delivery dates were released on June 11th. So whatever you've been told so far, was from that day... I'm sure a lot has changed at Rivian since June 11th.
The agent I was working with couldn't speculate on when these timelines would be updated, but her best guess was when the "website/configurator" is updated. Recall, that we were supposed to see timelines on the website when we logged in. It's anyone's guess when the website will be updated. Fun fun.
As for my "situation", I have a Tesla coming off warranty, and a new Tesla that's supposed to be delivered in October. My timeline is Nov/Dec for the Rivian. No sense in me taking the new Tesla if I'll only own it for a couple of months (wouldn't be worth the hassle in the hopes of making a few bucks). However, if I'm pushed off 3-6 months for the new Rivian, I'd take delivery of the Tesla and just trade that one in. I'm sure we each have our own situations to contend with...
