That matches my theory. Even if you’re powering the system through the OBD port, leaving the 12v AXM connection in place can backfeed power into the AXM. This can cause the backup sensors to malfunction since the harness is still pulling 12v from that connection (the backup sensors).@gerrylum It was using the OBD power at the time. Not going to use Comma 3x until I can run the fuse tap that I got from you yesterday and bypass the AXM.
Maybe tonight if I have the time and patience to remove the harness and refit it. I’ll update.
We’ve seen this issue with people using a fuse tap: their front lightbars stay on even when the car is off. The cause is the same—the AXM is still feeding 12v through the fusetap and into the light bar because the original 12v connection wasn’t removed.
When using an alternate source of 12v, it super important to remove that AXM 12v connection as well. Comma really ought to stop including the 12v AXM connection on their harnesses.
