Damp carpet driver side

Washed the R1S 2024 today. Noticed damp (not soaked) floor driver's side (middle of the floor) under the all weather mat that also had some condensation on it. The HVAC drain plug was replaced voluntarily by Rivian early last year. Wondering if the water leaked from roof or door perhaps (all dry) or if the it's HVAC? Service request placed. Hopefully they can get me in quick.

I'd bet money on it being the HVAC drain issue. Our '24 R1S is currently in for its second repair for this...

I concur with Wat5. Get the HVAC checked as soon as possible. There is some chance that this will shut down your R1S due to battery damage risk. At least that is what happened to me...

Also agree it’s the HVAC. I had my entire system replace under warranty and have had no issues since.

Many forum reports of multiple repairs of the same HVAC issue... that's where to look first. Sorry you are going through it again despite under warranty. There should be a recall for this defect.

Gen 1 T here. I noted the same condition yesterday. Had the HVAC system replaced and new carpet last September. I'll be taking it in again in a few days.

Nope. It was after a warm stretch and I’d been driving for a few hours with AC on. Just like had happened the first time.

Dropped off at SC today. Luckily got a loaner (first time) so it help pass the time. Their tentative workorder says replace HVAC and carpets so I expect they will do that regardless.
