I wish Rivian wouldn't have wasted engineering resources on snow mode when it's a driver skill problem.
I'm not going to argue with you on the skill issue, but the R1S/R1T isn't your average vehicle. These things are heavier than any ICE SUV on the road by a mile and that weight changes the driving dynamics especially in snowy weather. Every reviewer who has dealt with snow in the R1T has noted this.

Plus, the throttle response doesn't work the same on an EV vs ICE so relaxing the throttle response in that environment is a good idea, generally.

Pretty sure Dark Brian’s comment was sarcasm

"We want phone integration, or at least Apple Music"

Rivian: "best we can do is Tidal"

I know it will probably never happen, but I really miss CarPlay for music, audiobooks, and navigation. The built in Nav is still pretty clunky and running everything through Bluetooth is an exercise in frustration. Why keep adding apps to the truck when I already have them on my phone? I just don’t get it. I really do love this truck though.

Snow mode will be nice. I've been waiting since 2018 for my Model 3 to get that, and I'm still waiting... Glad to see Rivian listening to customer requests!

I saw a poll recently and Apple Music was the top request by a pretty significant margin. Wasting development cycles on adding Tidal isn’t really listening to their customers.
I guarantee that Apple has extremely tight control on how other developers integrate their Music App. Apple would definitely need to be involved in integrating their Music app for Rivian’s vehicles. Without Apple’s support, it’s not happening, and Apple may not have resources available to support Rivian. It’s very possible integrating the Tidal app was much easier. Just because Tidal was added first, doesn’t necessarily mean that it was higher on priority list. I’m sure Rivian is working on adding multiple new audio sources in parallel and releasing them in updates when they are ready.

I want Apple Music added as bad as anyone but very few auto manufacturers have actually integrated Apple Music natively. If I recall correctly, only Audi (maybe Mercedes too) have a native Apple Music app.

I'm mostly concerned that the people that need to use it won't remember to change drive modes when they should be. Time will tell.

Apple Music will be added to Tesla, in the upcoming 2022 holiday update. So yeah, it’ll probably take a while.

Can someone post a customary complaint about this latest update already? Lol
One release too late. It's December already, way too slow with the updates here. Rivian needs to step up their game. Tesla's snow mode...err...

I'm getting a little tired of waiting for a flood mode. Not all of us live in a desert with lots of sand or in the arctic with a lot of snow. When can I get a flood mode?
