I am pretty sure they will let you in to the early riser lot as an EV even if you don't charge, but they may have always assumed I was charging anyway.

Doesn't help if you are an Ikon passholder, but Arapahoe Basin passholders get charging for free, you can set it up in the chargepoint app/a basin account.

On the weekends they are often filling by 9:00AM in midseason.
Thanks again, we are here now and the last charger filled up about 7:45a — pretty good for a Saturday! They let me into the lot and we didn’t need to charge but decided to anyways.

Nice, we were in the green R1T. That is earlier than usual but it was busier than usual so makes sense! I think I counted 7 rivians in the first two rows of parking on my way out

Oh damn were you MTNRIV? I wish I would have known would have said hi - I was the Limestone a few chargers down from you. Tough visibility day outside the trees but it was GOOD today!

It did take us two hours and 45 minutes to drive back to Broomfield leaving at 2 o’clock.

lol yep we are MTNRIV. Agreed it was good skiing! Brutal drive. Not quite that long to golden but makes sense, it was worse in town than the mountains.

Ya, the drive home was rough. It routed us through Clear Creek Canyon and we went basically 10 mph the entire way, however it looked like I70 was a disaster (was closed Westbound and multiple accidents) so although it was slow, it was safer. After 93, I think I passed 5 accidents on the drive on 6 to I-70 and once we got to the highway it was much better.

We took the same route, leaving Breck around 3:30 with a stop for snacks, bathroom break, and diaper change in Frisco before venturing onto 70 around 4p. CCC was a crawl, but at least it was a constant crawl, which gave us some semblance of hope. The slog up to Eisenhower was the usual comical depression it always is, watching idiots in their rental Nissan Maxima (or even better, the white work pickup, but with straight-up bald tires) spin hopelessly. ~3hours end-to-end...I'll happily take that for as crazy as things were.

On a side note, I am not a fan of the stock Pirelli 20's in wet snow. I miss my old Falken Wildpeaks.

I have been THRILLED with the Michelin X-Ice on my 22's - the R1T has been an absolute tank this winter, I couldn't be more happy.

I couldn't wait to get rid of the stock 22's in winter - they were great early on but with a little bit of wear, horrible. The snow tires have been the best purchase so far for this vehicle for me, bar none.

Hi all. Does anyone have a spare Rivian-branded crossbar they'd be willing to part with? I'm willing to pay!

Just wondering if anyone bought two sets but may only need 3 for your R1. I'd like to get a 3rd bar for the top of our R1S when we carry gear up top. And if someone locally wants to split a set, I'd consider buying new as well. Thanks!
Added a third to my R1S and have a single... $300 + $45 shipping UPS or local pickup in Boy-c, Idaho.

Had kind of an interesting experience yesterday driving up time the tunnel. Not particularly cold, but I was at a lower SOC compared to normal, about 17%. On the way up I had no ability to accelerate (granted I was already at 65mph). The blue bar was shortened and it was maxed out. In all purpose.
I guess I was surprised this hadn’t happened before, or if it was a change implemented at some point… I’ve probably driven up to the tunnel 50+ times in winter.

anyone else run into this? It felt like my old 4Runner driving up To the tunnel, pedal to the floor and nothing

Chargers in Glenwood Springs at the Starbucks worked great and pulled 150 kWh with plenty of room to move around. Got the ski quiver ready to go in Aspen Snowmass all week!!!

those are great, it has been very nice having an alternative to the unreliable EA at the target
