Our 3900 mile cross-country took us through Bloomington IL, and a chance to drive by the Mother Ship.
I had to kneel on my prayer rug and light incense at the front door...well, actually a WeatherTech floor mat and some pine tree air fresheners.
There's a tremendous number of R1s and EDVs in the staging area. It made my stock portfolio very happy.

I know the only advertised times to see it were last night and today. The Denver space is closed on Sundays so if you are really motivated you might show up first thing on Monday banging on the doors wearing an R3X onesie.

I got to check the R2/R3 prototypes out on Friday with the Rivian Club. As good as you think the R3X looks, it looks 100x better in person. It’s absolutely gorgeous. My wife and I also got a very short ride in the Gen 2 R1S Quad. It was really only long enough to check out the interior. That was amazingly sweet looking. I didn’t think I’d like the bluegrey interior but now I think it’s the best color they’ve ever done. The turquoise badge accents and brake calipers look pretty sweet but I noted the Rivian badge still had the Rivian yellow accents. it looked a bit out of place.

The poor R2 and basic R3 didn’t get nearly the attention the R3X was lavished with. One think I noticed on the R2 was that the dash was made from a wood laminate. It looks good but I couldn’t help but chuckle that they were using plywood on the prototype.

Actually, my wife loved the R3 the most. Its not practical for what she does, but it was her favorite inbetween all the options at the meet.

I thought the interior of the Blue R1S v2 was amazing as well. Would love to get that interior some day. I’m hoping that they offer something similar in the R2 when they start delivering, so that Mrs. Cohall can get it. Not holding my breath. After seeing it in person, we’re even more confident that R2 will make the perfect replacement for her XC60. 2026 seems so far away though.

looks like the supercharger at Copper is finally open, and open to us as well... I drive to Leadville a lot, so this is very convenient.
