Interesting that you ordered Coastal Cloud interior, too, so I guess the August promise is real. Launch Green is a great choice as well.

My wife and I took a Demo Drive in an R2 in Half Moon Grey. Saw it at at our Service Center in Sparks Nev., too. Very nice. Was our 2nd choice. Catalina Cove won us over.

August being real in terms of ordering? Seems like it, but hard to say how many though.

Kind of like when they promised R2s in June--and they made their delivery estimate--but they manufactured, like, three cars for the public in June. Hope the Coastal Cloud rollout isn't slow. We must also remember that Rivian pivoted and announced an earlier introduction of Coastal Cloud to August (when it had been listed as coming later in the year). Will be interesting to see if Rivian and its suppliers are prepared to make thousands or hundreds of these light interiors at initial introduction. Guess we will find out.

Sounds like they are getting them together with a ramp likely late September for Coastal Cloud. I expect to see a lot of deliveries starting in October with more consistent availability towards the end of that month. I’d say all things considered, they are being very conservative and doing better than originally expected IMO
