I'd love to see a simple “Ready by” / Departure Time feature added to scheduled charging.

Instead of setting a charging start time, let us choose:

Departure time: 7:00 AM
Charge limit: 60%
Cabin temperature: 72°F

The vehicle would then automatically determine when it needs to begin charging and preconditioning so that it reaches the selected SOC and cabin temperature right around the departure time. I know this already exists for the cabin temperature alone.

This would eliminate having to estimate charging time based on the current SOC, while also allowing owners to minimize the amount of time the battery sits at a higher SOC. It would be especially useful when charging to 90–100% before a road trip. I'm sure the feature would also be a good way to minimize potential future warranty claims on battery degradation

Basically: tell the vehicle when I want to leave and how I want the vehicle when I leave, and let the vehicle figure out the rest.

We do have half of that with climate scheduling - my truck is set to make sure it's at 68* at 530am on the weekdays. It would be nice to have the scheduled departure bit too...

Yeah, I use the climate one pretty consistently. It's just when I go into high SOC I always find myself calculating what time I need to start charging by an order for it to finish by my desired time. It's not too complicated since my charger consistently does 6% per hour and is in a garage.

Scheduled departure is one of two (well, 1.5) features that I miss from Tesla, but where I live it's not a huge concern as I don't have to worry about time of use pricing on my electricity, so if my truck is done charging before I leave it's not the end of the world....... but it was nice!
