Car Reg/Plate?

Anyone lease a vehicle within the past 1-2 months still waiting on the plates? I'm about a month away from the temp plates expiring and have received zero info by mail. I've reached out to Rivian CS and nada (I know they're busy). Been almost two weeks though so hopefully I get some kind of answer.

I lease on 4/30 and received the plates 2 weeks later.
This is in California.

I leased 4/10. Called RFS/Chase 2 weeks later and got my lease info a week from that. Plates arrived by FedEx 5/10.

this is NJ but I believe setting up lease account is what triggered getting the plates. Ymmv

Picked mine up in VA on 5/9 and haven't heard anything from Rivian or NCDOT yet. Plenty of time, so I'm not concerned yet, but you're not alone.

Just got my CA registration yesterday. Took 2.5 weeks from pick up. I am reusing my personalized plates so that may have factored in.

Oh yeah that is definitely something I have taken into account. Though at this point, it's probably safe to say they need to get this completed sooner rather than later no matter what state it is in. Only a couple weeks left before temp plate expires.

Having the same issues after taking delivery on 3/28. I've had to keep bugging them and they finally overnighted another temp tag (mine expires tomorrow).

Approximately 5 weeks to get plate. The new plate expired in 4 more weeks.

I financed 10K so I could pay off in a year for credit score maintenance and my bank was essentially yelling at me for a title. They had to wait and it eventually came, but a little unnerving.

Quick Q: I finally got a reply back from Rivian that they sent the paperwork to the DMV to complete. But they also said this: "Please ensure your insurance is uploaded to the GEICS site in order to avoid further delays."

I have never had to do this for any other cars purchased in GA.

Did you have to do anything yourself? I assume my insurer would have taken care of this already...

Man is Rivian focused on Insurance.....In GA is electronically transmitted to the state, so if you have it it's there.

If you sell your car and discontinue insurance, you'll get a letter in about a week asking you to reinstate insurance or pay a fee. Been getting those for over a decade and ignore them as I sold the car duh.
