It’s 2024 - how come forum platforms can’t proactively stop duplicative posts about the same topic (I’ve been waiting for that a lot longer for that than casting!)

Honest question, what does casting get you? You can only use it while stopped, right? Videos while DCFC charging? Is it for the kids?

How exactly would you detect that, unless they are actual exact duplicates? What users should do is quickly answer with "you should search before posting" and get people to stop on their own.

It’s in customer support software where it at least asks you whether a previous topic answers your question. Maybe just let them comment on the “original” thread instead of allowing a new one. Add an LLM and I think it would do better than most people think.
