Awaiting Delivery of gen2 R1T

Pulled the trigger, scheduled delivery for 9/28. Was a little disappointed at lack of tax credit for standard battery, but think LFP is probably better for my regular driving in rural Maine anyway.

Very excited, I test drove a Lightning Platinum this morning to be absolutely sure and it drove like the Honda pilot I’m trading in. Nice enough, but after we got our MYLR last year I’ve dreaded being in the pilot, and the interface as expected was wonky relative to our MYLR similarly to a friends id4 I’ve been in.

Honesty, after reading about service issues on here I was starting to be hesitant. But then I texted with my team at Chelsea SC who will be delivering to me in Maine and they are very helpful and communicative, really appreciated it.

Looking forward to seeing what it can do!

The Chelsea SC has been through the wringer. They service a huge area. They have always come through for me and have gone above and beyond to make everything right.

Funny enough, I still absolutely love our pilot though it’s reserved for long road trips at this point.

We have a Honda pilot….yeah fun is not what I think about when I get in there.

I also had a Model Y LR and P before buying the Rivian. Lastly, I also shopped the lightning Lariat.

that was just after ford drastically increased the prices. They wanted 90k for the lightning Lariat and the quality of the interior materials is what turned me off along with the dealership experience.

Picking up my Gen 2 R1T this Saturday in NJ (pre-order holder since ‘21).
Limestone, Ocean Coast/Dark Ash, Dual Max, A/S, PT cover, Premium audio, Dynamic Glass, Utility. Ordered Rivian Charger and Crossbars from Shop (Haven’t ordered spare yet).
Did my 1st test drive early (summer of 2021, I think) …and that’ all it took (wrote my impressions in a post).

Order received on Thursday via delivery from Chelsea SC. Great experience so far. If it continues this direction might replace our MYLR with a Dual Max R1S at some point.
