Had an awesome time this week in Florida visiting family. St. Augustine beach was close by and we drove the public beach road three times over three days. Couldn't get enough of how fun and easy it was to drive in soft sand mode. No airing down necessary as this 10 mile stretch is regularly driven on and packed down enough for plenty of traction even when stopping and starting if you stay on the "lanes". We deviated into untouched sand several times and the R1S did great at keeping itself moving and never struggled once. It was so nice to pack light and park on the beach after finding an empty spot and jump right out to let the kids run around with the R1S as home base for drinks, snacks and shade/AC.
Looking forward to another trip this summer!
Fun fact: there are only 3 places along the East Coast that allow driving on the beach: St. Augustine FL, Daytona Beach FL and Hatteras NC. Can't wait for the new RAN location in the Outer Banks!
