I felt the same way when we bought our Rivian in 2023...We had to go to Gaithersburg MD to pick it up and it was the closest place for service (other than Brooklyn where we had done our test drive). Things will continue to improve, but you're not enjoying driving your Rivian knowing that there's a dealer just 20 minutes away like you have with most ICE options. It's a tough balance: Do sales drive the locations of SC's or does the location of SC's drive sales?
I've heard good things about CJs (not necessarily for Rivians, but I had a friend who took his Acura there).
We are in Montour County, right next-door. That’s bad news that Mobile technicians aren’t willing to drive to our area. I will recheck with Rivian to see if that’s going to change. By itself could be a game changer for us.

Do you live, like a 1/4 mile from Manheim tire by chance? I passed an R1T the other night on Bucknoll road that was turning into the neighborhood on the left.I highly recommend Manheim Tire if you're nearby. They're family run and super awesome. My truck was the first Rivian they ever worked on (PA state inspection, anyway) and they were hyper-vigilant to figure it out. Since then, they now service at least 4 that I am aware of
I see the map showing a yellow diamond south of Pittsburgh, but thats it. How sure are we of a service center in this area? How do I see where it's been actually announced? I live 25 minutes north of that yellow diamond, which does not allow me to click on it or see any information at all.

Just spoke with Rivian service, and they’ve told me that our address in Danville is covered by mobile service, so probably pays for you to check with them again to see if they’re now covering Bloomsburg and or Columbia County.
Were you able to schedule an mobile appointment? This issue I had was when I was debating on getting the Rivian, they told me I was in the “service area”. Fast forward to having to schedule my first service, I was then told there were no available mobile appointments all the way out till June. That unfortunately forced me to have to schedule my appointment for the Malvern service center, almost 3 hours away…
