Ouch... bad timing for sure. Maybe that's why AMZN has lagged the market for the past year.

But it shows that Amazon is committed to Rivian. Also, does it suggest that Amazon knows Rivian may be on time, on target with the delivery vans? Amazon has to know the manufacturing and delivery schedule, and this shows optimism on Amazon's part regarding Rivian. Flip side, is that if Rivian was way off on those vans, it wouldn't make sense for Amason to invest.
Just speculating...

I am not sure how to read this. Do one of you guys that are a bit more literate than me please spell it out?

How many shares Amazon already owned at IPO? And how many shares were added between $89.98 and $172.01?

This looks like pumping the stock to add to the value of their holding and set a new high for others to judge the stock by. Those of you in the know, educate me. What is happening here?

There was never any indication Amazon planned to ditch Rivian. That they invested in Stellantis was never an issue as this was an "also" vs an "instead of". TBH, it was smart of Amazon to do this as it never wise to put all your eggs in just one basket. A lot of people flipped out with the Stellantis announcement, which surprised me to no end.

Strange, the S1 mentions 160M shares. And an interest to purchase $200M at the ipo. Unless the 160M factors in the $200M, then with the last minute price increases would have dropped the # they would buy.
