Maybe I'm just backwards, but shouldn't the active shutters be closed unless needed? Mine are wide open while parked and off while I imagine they would only open when the battery needs to cool down. Currently it's pretty cold at night and moderate during the day here in AZ... I'm not sure if these are busted or if it's just normal behavior and I'm the one that's busted.

I mean, I guess aero isn't that big of a deal when you're going slow so maybe it defaults to open and then closes when you're going faster for efficiency?

My name is Mike, and I have a (car) problem
They were squeaking for a large number of owners on startup. I honestly think Rivian just set them to permanently-open, hence avoiding more service calls. Mine stopped squeaking after an earlier update (can’t recall which one).

The default state for active louvers is open. This is a fail-safe, so if the actuator fails, the vehicle does not lose the ability to cool itself. What you are seeing is normal.
