My two 12v batteries needed replacing recently and with a little help from my friends at Knightdale Rivian here in North Carolina I was able to get them replaced outside of warranty. Thank you Rivian management for making this exception. I’m an early adopter and holding true to the type of service I’ve received in the past Rivian has come through for me again. Granted it’s the second battery replacement in fours years, but the first replacement was outside of warranty, so thank you. I also had a peak at the R2 while I was at the service center. I like it. I think it will do well.

My gen 1 R1T "12 volt battery needs replacement" notice just came up this past Tuesday. Almost 4 years and just past 60k miles. I got the nearest SC to send mobile service in 5 days and since it's just past warranty they have me only pay for one of the batteries. These new batteries have 2yr warranty on them.

Nice choice on getting the mobile service. One would think the batteries would get at least a 36 month warranty. It’s probably Rivian erring on the safe side.

3-yr is the original warranty on the original 12V. The reduced amount on replacements is probably a business decision... and perhaps a telltale sign on how much they know, but not saying, about consumption rate.
