Nah. Different class vehicle. Maybe some R2 shoppers will hold out for the R3 but not many.

I can confirm that I do not want an R3 and will keep the R2. Two very different cars if you ask me.

It could be an issue. I love my Gen 1 R1T and even though I am an early, "day 1" reservation holder for R2, I might have to skip it. I can see adding an R3x as an additional vehicle (with the R1t) but there isn't a real compelling argument (for me) to add an R2 as an additional, but only as a replacement if I decide the soon-to-be out of warranty (at 60k miles) surpasses my risk tolerance (if anything goes wrong).
