Not seen this posted anywhere yet - but the Normal Illinois RAN has now been upgraded to support NACS on one of its dispensers. Presumably more to come.

Thanks for posting.
I was wondering how they would add the NACS plugs. Both NACS snd CCS plugs per pedestal, or separate pedestals for each type. It looks like the latter.
I wonder if on a Gen 1 R1, if charging speed is the same when using CCS vs NACS+adapter.

As long as you aren't somewhere temperature-limited, I don't see why not. 500A is 500A. You can get 500A through the adapter. I'd just be concerned in particularly hot places where the chance of overheating the adapter causing derating could happen more often.

Only the cable (perhaps even just the connector) and insert to hold the plug were different - looks like an easy retrofit.

I routinely get 200+ kW at Tesla stations with my CCS to NACS adapter. Would expect the same as with a RAN.

I wish (and had originally hoped the stars may have aligned that way). It was a family visit to Chicago in Bluey, our trusty R1S that’s never seen the inside of a service center (yet).

Le petit enfant terrible was still waiting for the new AXM to arrive, though that’s an evolving conversation.

I just bought the new 2026 Quad which has the NACS port built in and the Sales Rep said Rivian is in the process of converting all their RAN stations to NACS as well.

I think it is funny I have a NACS to CCS adapter in my R1S and when we get our R2 we will probably wind up getting a CCS to NACS adapter for that one.

Thanks for posting. Having just picked up my Borealis 2026 gen2 R1Sand not receiving the new combo adapter yet, I need to charge somewhere between home and Peoria. This single NACS would be perfect to avoid the stares from Tesla owners at a supercharger.

Why would you get stares from Tesla owners at a supercharger? Everyone is used to other brands at a supercharger.

They're staring at the color in envy.
