That's a little bit better than I expected.... Wasn't the v1 post-purchase (gear shop) price higher?

Curious what the production date cut off is for this.

I too wonder what vehicles are eligible for these retrofits. I just called in and was told my vehicle isn't eligible. 14K vin and was one of the many who had to remove the PTC from my early reservation in order to take delivery.
Did you configure with manual cover?

I was just told that my T isn't compatible, I have a very low 15k vin. The weird thing is, that I had this at the service center in July about to have the v1.5 cover installed and the service guys told me to hold off till the V2 because it was better. So I'm not sure why my truck would work with the 1.5 but this v2 is not possible.

Also to add, I have rails already in the bed trim and use a manual cover that slots into them, so it isn't that. Rivian on the phone also confirmed that Gen 1 are compatible with this cover.

I also called about the PTC. I settled on a demo model without a PTC (even though I really wanted one) after the guide said it will be available in the Gear Shop as an option s00n.

The representative said mine wasn't eligible, either. VIN 14,xxx. Bummer! I would have done it in a heartbeat, despite the price tag.

I did not, I've been holding out for the PTC retrofit which I was told would be available for my truck 3 years ago when I removed it from my order. I picked up a used manual cover for the time being, but seeing how many people damage the latch mechanism I know it's just a matter of time till that snaps

2023 R1T Vin 1896X January 29'th build date I was told yesterday mine wasn't compatible. I asked if they could escalate and find out why etc.

If indeed it is a wiring harness issue, that would go in the face of what was previously communicated ages ago about the only way to get a PTC retrofitted was to get a manual tonneau cover with the rails as that was the limiting factor.

It would seem odd to eliminate that one wire run from an entire harness on some vehicles rather than just include it like how every OEM does. Same harness regardless of the optioned accessories. just plug and play and charge the customer.

Doesn't seem like any early trucks are compatible. Maybe they added the wires in 2023 and later? And it wasn't included in the original builds.
