Red Canyon Color Back for 2026 Rivian

The configurator now shows red canyon back for the Dual-Quad and when clicked it lets you know that it might be early 2026 delivery. This...this is a problem for my impulsive mind.

Hopefully this means we could potentially see the Red Canyon for the R2 as well! Unless they run out of said paint by then.

Yeah i really like Red Canyon. I only went with Limestone due to easier maintenance. My prior truck was a super hard color to keep clean. Rivian needs to keep some of the brighter colors though. Seem to be a lot of grays and such

Same, and agreed. I do like my Forest Green, but not going to lie, I do get jealous every time I see a Red Canyon out in public. The hints of orange just make it pop in the daylight. They knocked it out the park with that color.

Was wondering the same thing. The Rivian employee I talked to back in August was very confident that it wouldn't come back. To be honest, I have several theories. They may have actually ran out of the color and finally found a way to get it back in stock. They could be offering it on the R2 and found a way to continue to offer it on the R1. They may have received a lot of complaints or feedback regarding the bland color palette and decided to throw a bone at us with the canyon red. It might also be a "Tesla offers red, so why don't we kind?" of deal. Hopefully this is not a limited time thing and its back for good. I don't need any more reasons to upgrade, so the red canyon coming back is quite enticing.

I read "Dual-Quad" and immediately wondered if there was a new "Octo" that was exclusively offered in CR? Alas no such thing, but a guy can dream

I've got no evidence for my guess on this, but I'm pondering if it was some sort of supply chain issue (tariffs, etc) that made them drop Canyon Red until they could find another supplier that could provide said paint.
