Someone designed and shared these 3D print drink coasters.

https://www.printables.com/model/1291213-rivian-wheel-coasters

"A series of drink coasters based on the OEM Rivian wheel designs. All coasters are 110mm in diameter and approximately 5mm thick. There is a hole on the backside for a 6x2mm magnet to help with sliding on steel surfaces. These were designed for printers with MMU units.
Pre-colored 3mf files are included but you can also load the stl files by importing all files in the folder and then saying “Yes these are a single object with multiple parts" when prompted.
05/10/2025 - Added four different holder designs. Each will hold six coasters."

That's my design, glad you like them! I've made a few more Rivian themed models that can all be downloaded on Printables for free. My Rivian Models Collection by ironfan72 | Printables.com
This is absolutely wonderful - the more of us making Rivian specific design the better. I think I'm going to print a set of these out when I have a lull on one of my machines.

I really like the big Rivian only sign too: https://www.printables.com/model/1191679-rivian-parking-signs

Dumb question but since this just popped up in my feed, who in this forum can 3D print low volume Rivian stuff? I'm thinking things like the headrest remover, air vent hook, sunglasses holder, etc

Lot of good ideas out there but who can print for those of us who don't own a printer? 😄

There are a lot of places online that will ship you stuff for pretty cheap, UPS and FedEx stores have printers you can use, local libraries sometimes have them, there is also a few websites that can connect you to people near you you can have print for you.

I think it may be time for Mike to buy a printer :) And you'd be amazed at all the stuff you really didn't need that you can make. (no really, for any maker, it's an incredibly useful tool)

Also - would PLA be good enough for these or is PETG recommended?
I printed them in PLA om my Prusa Mk4 with MMU3. I have to admit I haven't put any hot drinks on them but I still think PLA will be fine with a good insulating coffee mug.

Does anyone know the designer of the Gear Guard Gary model shown in one of the photos? A friend of mine sent me the stl file but doesn't know the origin of it. There are a few poses of Gary and I multi-color painted one in PrusaSlicer. I'd like to give credit to the original author and if they allow it I'll upload the multicolor version.

Sigh.

<Looks at backlog of things I "need" to print.>

Contemplates the stupidity of a second printer.

I've printed a bunch of things for Rivian owners, but don't think it's a real business to be in (at least, not one that I understand).

These coasters do NOT have an open license, so I can't legally print them to sell. This is probably the biggest impediment for someone to just make them available (and many other things). At what point is it "commercial?" If I just tell someone on this forum that I'll print it for about cost (which I've done with other Rivian specific models)?

This has been a huge hit with my friends and people on other forums, they want it, now I have to go look up the license and see if I can legally and ethically make them for money.
