I just had my new wheels and tires installed (changed from the stock 21" with stock tires).

Wheels are from EV-sportsline. TPMS preprogrammed from Atomic Wheels synced within 5 minutes / 3miles

Efficiency
TiresMPHMilesMPKNote
OEM 21”47139132.52 Mountain trips, 1 2500 mile very favorable road trip
Arroyo261642.29
Arroyo5111632.09Heavily influenced by Mountain Trip.

On highways I use conserve, and the rest of the time AP.

It will go down though in the next few months as I have a ~950mile trip to the mountains soon and even with my stock 21" I only got around 1.8 m/kWh (cold, loaded car, roof rack, and 80mph stretches in Utah). Also I will now do some off-roading so that will also hurt overall efficiency.

I will continue to update efficiency as I add more miles.

The Good:
  • The wheels and tires look AMAZING (so much better than the stock 21)
  • Initial efficiency looks awesome for A/T
  • Ride is subjectively smoother (just noticed speed bumps, divots, driveways the harshness is less). Wife is the true examiner of this and said its good
  • Noise level is essentially identically to stock 21" tires with 13,900 miles on them. This was measured using a tool on an iPhone 15 called NIOSH SLM. I was by myself in the car, steady speed phone placed on the center console. Possible stock was quieter when first purchased but I never measured.
    • Arroyo 70mph - LAeq 68.0 dB, Max level 74.4dB
    • Stock 70mph - LAeq 68.1 dB, Max level 73.0dB
    • Arroyo 45mph - LAeq 61.5, Max Level 64.7
    • Stock 45mph - LAeq 61.4 dB, Max Level 64.1
  • Price for all 4 tires was $671 installed out the door, I ordered from https://tireoutletus.com/tires-arroyo-tamarock-at-275-60r20-atat013.html/, they install for free and took about 50 minutes. Zero hassle.
The Bad:
  • Noticeable vibration between 16-20mph. Definitely notice when steady speed, but can also notice if paying attention on acceleration / deceleration.
The Ugly
  • Nothing!
The Missing
  • Wet driving (in SoCal this could be a while, still hasn't rained, currently driest winter on record)
  • Snow driving (didn't happen, hopefully get a chance this winter/spring)
  • Off roading (never did it on the 21, so should automatically be better)
  • Longevity

Wow, impressively inexpensive. Please do report back on snow performance and efficiency when you get the data!

I just had my new wheels and tires installed (changed from the stock 21" with stock tires). Only have about 10miles but wanted to post my very first impressions. No use giving m/kWh yet as nothing is real. It will not be great though in the next few months as I have a ~950mile trip to the mountains soon and even with my stock 21" I only got around 1.8 m/kWh (cold, loaded car, roof rack, and 80mph stretches in Utah). For reference over the last 16 months I got 2.5 m/kWh overall, mostly mixed driving with the exception of a 2500 mile road trip and 2 of the 950 mile mountain trips.

Wheels are from EV-sportsline. TPMS preprogrammed from Atomic Wheels synced within 5 minutes / 3miles

    • Arroyo 45mph - LAeq TBD, Max Level TBD (will update in the next few days, didn't feel louder on the street)
    • Stock 45mph - LAeq 61.4 dB, Max Level 64.1

The Bad:
  • Potentially a low level hum around 20-25mph, but could be my imagination. If my wife notices then it is real

The Missing
  • Wet driving (in SoCal this could be a while)
  • Snow driving (hopefully soon)
  • Off roading (never did it on the 21, so should automatically be better)
  • Longevity
  • And of course efficiency

Hopefully the efficiency is ok (~2 MPK)…if you can get 20k miles out of them that will be decent…

I mean they state a 50k mile warranty for wear, so if it only got 20k miles I would get 60% back. I have never tried to get a warranty from this company before but I have on other tires. It even comes with a 6month/12month (prorated) hazard warranty.

Added 45mph noise test, almost exactly the same.

Also did a full acceleration 0-62mph test on AP mode. I didn’t time it, slight chirp but kicked us in our seats and we got to 60 crazy fast as would be hoped for. My daughter said woah, so I consider it a success.

Initial efficiency results look great with 2.29 mpk on 164 miles of driving. Added to original post.

Did our mountain road trip about 970 miles roundtrip with mulitple elevation gains (from SoCal to Brian Head, Utah), averaged an amazing 2.09 mpk. This was fully loaded with 6 people and all their gear, and a cargo trailer hanging off the hitch. Temperatures were great from high 50's to low 30's.

While this might not seem amazing I have done this twice in the Rivian in late December 2023 and Spring of 2024. First time I don't remember exactly but it was well under 1.8mpk. This was with 4 people fully loaded with roof rack, and stuff on top temperatures from low 50's down to 20's. Second time in Spring 2024 got 1.98mpk. This was with 3 people, everything inside Rivian.

Unfortunately there was no snow on the roads, just a bit in some of the lots and what not. So nothing to report on the snow experience :/

First downside discovered. Going between 16-20 mph, there definitely is a slight vibration from the tires. Felt it in Las Vegas traffic. If you really pay attention you can feel it on acceleration/deceleration.

tires are still still doing great 2369 miles and 2.21 mpk. Did a really fun off road adventure. But I think it is even better than it looks. The off roading was like 250 total miles (about half on freeway) and I got 1.5 mpk, not bad at all but did bring the total down. With the regular tires I did get 2.5 mpk but had a super mpk friendly road trip that pushed things up

As for longevity they look fine but I don’t have a depth gauge to know 100% how I am wearing down. I will order one to track.

Only 2-3 rainy days, absolutely no issues

that’s awesome, did you notice how hot your front motors got at the bottom of the steep grade leaving St George? I was in Conserve and they were 300, would have been better to be in AP instead, sounds like those are great tires for your use, also sounds like they are decent on efficiency…

yeah that uphill and 80mph section is killer. I haven’t checked though what temps my motors were running but usually in that section in the 15 minute efficiency window I am below 1.5mpk
