Just got new shoes and shoe strings installed - AWZZ from Atomic with the new-ish Goodyear's.

One of their lighter designs and I had a hard time choosing between the ZZ and 01. The very subtle curve that is included in the ZZ design on the outer part of each wheel lug hole is why I ended up choosing the ZZ. These subtle curves makes the center part of the ZZ wheel a little more rounded; less blocky and pentagon-y like the 01. At least to my eyes - I stared a lot at these two designs side by side.

Pre-ordered the ZZ's and I did have to wait a little longer than their anticipated delivery date - but Atomic did a great job answering my questions and keeping me posted with shipping information.

Interesting comment from my local America's Tire Co. who did the tire mounting - they said they didn't have to add much weight, the wheels/tires balanced easily. Not sure if that is more of a wheel thing or tire thing. They were impressed as moments before, they had some issues mounting and balancing another customer's aftermarket setup.

I had a separate set of OEM Rivian TPMS's that were put on. After driving for about 15 minutes with one stop along the way, the TPMS updated so that was a seamless transition.

As for the Goodyear's, I am coming from OEM 21's on fairly worn OEM Pirelli's (approx. 20K miles). There is a very slight hum that I notice at speeds above 45mph ish; but nothing that is annoying. I think this is me hearing AT tires for the first time in this truck - so not worried. I should be able to comment on impact to efficiency once I get more miles on them.

Anyways, definitely impressed with the ZZ's and Atomic - their quality and price point for a fully forged set of wheels is hard to beat. I might be talking with them soon on a custom setup for another vehicle.

Cheers and enjoy the pics........

Similar experience with mounting and balancing. My local tire shop made mention that typically aftermarket wheels and (especially off-road inspired) tires tend to be more difficult to road balance, but they were pleasantly surprised when loading up my AW10 with Nokian OutPost nATs. They hardly used any wheel weights and didn't even have to pull out the heavier ones.

@puregreddy, those look great on your truck, by the way!

What color is your truck, silver or limestone? Hard to tell in the photos. What running boards do you have?

I have silver and ordered the AWZZ, but in bronze, for the same reason you did. I like the more rounded look. A few more weeks to wait but I am excited. First time I've veered from the Signature wheel brand in a while.

Keep us update on the efficiency after 1k miles of driving. This probably be my next set of tires after my general grabbers is running out.

I was wondering ? Did you have to recalibrate the truck going from 21” to 20”

Looks like the tires are 275/60R20 which are within about 3% of the OEM 21's and don't require recalibration.
Going from 275/55R21 to 275/60R20 is a 0.3% difference in Outer Diameter. 275/50R22, 275/55R21 and 275/60R20 all have approximately 33” tire OD and would not require recalibration when switching between these options.

Any updates on the efficiency yet? Also wanted ask about the low hum. Is it about the same or worse as when you first got them?
