Stopped by today, not much to see for a current owner. Ideal high-end location at Kierland Commons. Nothing much to see. Gen 2 - R1T and R1S. Technically a show room with a few iPads to order.Sales and Service or just sales?
Rivian needs places to see their vehicles in person and take test drives (where available). I wouldn't have mine today if it weren't for the space nearby. I think they should absolutely combine this with service centers if it makes sense.these are such a waste of money. Money Rivian doesn’t have
Against the negative comments. If this helps Rivian expand, it helps all Rivian owners. For non-Rivian owners, not having a showplace is negative.
I agree, they'd have some economy of scale by combining them with service centers, and with service waits currently 3+ months, they need more service centers. I test drove an R1T at the Gaithersburg service center and that was enough for me to order one the next day. Tesla used to have "stores" set up in the same way the spaces were in that you could check out the vehicles in a mall or similar space, but not drive them. Now they have the showrooms combined with some service centers. I believe they discontinued the dedicated store model altogether.Rivian needs places to see their vehicles in person and take test drives (where available). Tesla store is in the same Kierland as the Scottsdale Rivian Store. They haven't abandoned the model.....Tesla used to have "stores" set up in the same way the spaces were in that you could check out the vehicles in a mall or similar space, but not drive them. What’s your source on the Tempe service center?Stopped by today, not much to see for a current owner. Ideal high-end location at Kierland Commons. Nothing much to see. Gen 2 - R1T and R1S. Technically a show room with a few iPads to order.
Tempe 67,000 sq.ft service center will be open Q1 2025.
Maybe just VA. All the stores are gone and are now baked into the SCs.Tesla store is in the same Kierland as the Scottsdale Rivian Store. They haven't abandoned the model.
