I think the only original target they hit was the cyberbeast 0-60 .. every other spec is WAY off from price and range.

Not sure how anyone can look at this and say its good. Its more expensive than a Rivian while only be more useful in very limited use cases.

Those prices are *with projected 3 years of gasoline savings.

Actual prices I see are:
RWD - $60,990
AWD - $79,990
Beast - $99,990

I am curious if it requires a prepared surface, especially with the thing having AT tires.

Found this in some fine print:
Cybertruck All-Wheel Drive consumption rating = 42.9 kWh/100mi

I think that suggests the battery should be 145.86 kWh usable?

The dual motor is very comparable to Rivian, except it has a full bed and the other technology features. It's also the same price. I'm not a customer, but I would say it's pleasantly surprising the dual motor was much closer to everything, except for the big price increase, of course.

The bed is the only thing. Everything else is way lower quality. Not counting the lack of useful day to day space that isnt' the bed (since the bed will be worthless due to the sails unless you are hauling something big)

Also, the specs say 250kw max charging? aren't some of the others Teslas already 350kw?

No, but it will be capable of 350kW as soon as Tesla updates the chargers to output that.

It has a massive battery pack (which needs super fast charging) and one feature I really wish Rivian would implement themselves.

I get everyone's point and the reaction overall seems to be very negative. That's what happens when you oversell and under deliver on a product after years of waiting.

If they hadn't done that, I think it could be compelling, now everyone wants to know where the 500 miles of range went.

Either way, I'm still patiently waiting for Rivian to fix the auto tonneau so I can configure my R1T. :)

I don't know if this helps Rivian in any way as many are complaining about pricing being too high. Since Rivian has a similar offering, that might be a wash but I don't think this takes business from Rivian.

What feature, the range extender? How much of the payload is that going to eat up?

Curious that the specs on this page don't match the order page.

Sorry, I worded it weirdly. I was referring to the 800v architecture and potentially 350kW charging.
