I've always been a winter camper but decided to extend my camping season into summer with purchase of an A/C unit for my RTT. Zero Breeze has a relatively compact unit that is truly an air conditioner...it has both supply and return ducts and will dehumidfy as well as cool.
I'm pleased to report that the initial field test was a success! Spent three nights in my RTT with 95F+ days and 80F+ nights with high humidity... coupled with a small fan, it actually got cold enough in my tent at night to need a down quilt.
The unit is entirely portable with removable battery or 120V or 24V plug-ins available. You have to be aware of the condensation drain - and the condensation that builds up on the outside of the exposed supply duct - but I had zero condensation inside the tent. There are multiple configurations you can use as a setup, but I prefer to keep the unit outside my tent. YMMV but this was a success for me!
