Looks incomplete without a camp kitchen to show off. And yes I know why it isn't there.

Interesting the headliner speaker grills on the R1S ocean coast were silver instead of black, wonder if that is a new change.

Stopped by today. My wife endorsed the colours she liked, which were green, blue and granite. I think she liked blue the best but we have a lot of blue vehicles. Being a maxpack preorder, we have lots of time to pick and choose. Sunday looks to have been the better day crowd-wise. Got in a quick drive as well.

We went yesterday, RJ was there, but test rides were a 2 hour wait, so decided to go back this morning early on. Got a ride in the T and it was in line with what I've seen/expected which is perfect for us. My favourite part was showing others around some of the features, that was pretty cool to see their faces when they learned about little secret storage areas etc.

Big takeaway is the dash/drivers display is well laid out, you don't get a sense of that until you're sitting behind the wheel. Also, space was a bit better than I expected being 6'-2" I purposefully sat behind a 6'-4" CS Rep in his comfortable position and still had enough room in the back seat to not want to jump out at the first opportunity.

Acceleratation is like with any EV, it really needs to be experienced to get the full impact. Driver told my wife and I to sit back in the seats as he was about to launch, I warned my wife to prepare to black out, she laughed it off. Driver gave it the beans, all you heard were giggles and "Holy Shit's" being thrown around the cab.

Still holding out for El Cap, my wife also agreed with that choice. I was very impressed by the Canyon Red, but wanted a glimpse of Yellow and White.

The light bars front and rear have such a solid attention to detail that they executed perfectly.

End of the day, I was close to dropping the Max Pack to get my butt in the seat sooner, but am still holding out, wife doesn't agree with the added cost of the pack, but understands it makes sense given our now growing family and the need for flexibility.

I agree with you. I thought the dash was good, all of the forum regulars are pretty familiar with the features. Funny it was my wife that suggested he 'punch it' to see how quick it goes.

I'm a granite preorder as well, but the blue and green were nice too. I thought the black wheels looked good on the blue R1S.

The range is a huge deal for me. Even if you are not towing (like me), I think of what it might be like getting caught on the uphill section of Coquihalla, heavy traffic, mid winter snow conditions, stuck waiting for vehicles to move.

I also put in a plug, suggesting that the Rivian adventure network install some pull through chargers at the summit, where the toll booths used to be.

I was hoping they would have hats or shirts or something to sell or give out. But I didn’t see any.
