Just my wishful thinking but I think it would be great if some manufacturer could produce electric side steps, retractable, that are battery powered, self-contained, small lithium batteries.

It's all mute now anyway… I chatted with the Bellevue Washington service center and they do not install aftermarket accessories. They do not have a recommended list to do such an install. This also voids my warranty because of the electronics that need to be attached and connected to my R1T.

That's a good thought! I'll check mine out and see if there's any movement since i don't have a spare tire. It would be nice if that was it? I have a service ticket in Bellevue WA. But they can't get my truck in until June. :(

thanks, I found that screen on my R1T. I took a couple photos, one supposedly unlocked and the other locked. It still won't come out of that hole regardless. I'm pulling with both hands also. It's stuck. Maybe time to inform CS or my guide? ps: what seems kind of weird to me is the "button"...
