Not yet! But then I just bought autonomy+ so there’s still a chance 🤣 (and as you may see in other threads I paid for what it has today, and am certainly not holding my breath for the dream others are latching on to - but if it arrives I’ll be super happy).
That said well after gen1’s were...
I'm aware: let's see - Rivian were very clear at the autonomy day launch that eyes-off would be tied to gen3. It's only recently that RJ (I don't think any other Rivian employee) has started to indicate otherwise - I'd be very happy to be proven wrong; but I'm not getting my hopes up. RJ has...
I don't think they ever indicated that Eyes Off would come in any form to Gen 2 or non-LIDAR-equipped vehicles. In fact, I'm pretty sure they stated this at the autonomy plus launch.
I’ll nit pick you that it’s a dual Orin chipset platform in gen2 - but Rivian have been so weird about the specs, and afaik no one has actully torn down an AXM2 to actually look at the board.
Agree on all other points though. I stumped for the lifetime autonomy+ as it was a way to offload...
Photos from here (which at this point must be production spec) also dont show any: https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/launch-green-r2-exterior-interior-latest-pictures-block-party-public-sightings.58365/
how do you actually get it to close when lifting by the hook that latches? Both of mine have needed quite the shove to get the latched to hold - especially when the tonneau cover is closed. I'm not able to do the 'flick' that works for the gear tunnel doors.
!00% - I've managed to keep the gear tunnel doors crease free on our 2nd T, but these things are too thin - I wince whoever my very ICE centric in-laws use it compared to their Ram, Fords and Chevy's as to be fair they expect the T to be a.... Truck. Ironically this puts me in the camp of...
My only critique of the tailgate is that it doesn't have a particularly good place to lift/slam from - a handle/clear supported point would be fantastic in gen3. The thinness of the metal used for the skin makes me worried that one day I'll dent it with my software engineer super muscle arms.
I asked one of my GPU buddies to help, and it looks like NCA has been there since the very beginning - with the media consistently at odds with Rivian's own reporting, the report produced is around 30 pages, but the following timeline probably summarizes it best:
It's interesting that the values here don't align with the specs on the packs themselves. `Rated Capacity` in the tables matches the capacity that Rivian market the usable capacity at - which is lower than the rated capacity printed on the actual packs. Also weird that they have not specified...
I love the new app, but the notification dot at the top is inverted from how it should be. Muffin has a service appointment/active notification, not Bluey (And no it’s not the cabin temp warning).
edit: just worked it out - it displays the notification dot on all ‘tabs’ other than the one with...
It’s a bit weird.
I get that these are marketing releases, and they are not following semverv2 (or even semver like) - but come on guys - this is what a point release is for. Being told I can upgrade from one version to the same version string, with a different short git commit sha like string...
As countless others have said - the R1 (g1 quad, g2 tri and quad) are quick bricks. But at the end of the day are just that. Weight, power curves many other things factor into making a truely fast car when doing more than comparing stats and drag racing. EVs will always have an advance over ICE...

I've always been suspicious of dog shampoo (and similar products) that proudly claims to `not tested on animals` - I get what they are trying to say but.....
Fixed it for you - they do monitor them (at least the Social Media and Media Relations teams) - this is fact. (hope you take this in the lighthearted way it was intended :) ).
A good example of this in practice is when I took some photos of the factory floor several months back (though the 3...
I assume not via the same graphql api used by the app the everyone else has tagged onto (remember they are a Rivian subsidiary) - Rivian roamer has been trying to get the same access as well afaik.
