434 mile EPA is quite impressive.
Yup, Once they are through early adopters. Typical BMW 10+% off plus any incentives will be the norm.
Even with the higher msrp. By end of year I bet lease payment is lower than similar spec R2(minus range of course).
They seem to be leading in EV specs for the legacy brands. The new i3 with 440 miles and 400kw charging is another example.
It just leaked the new iX5 will have a 147kwh battery pack.
The $60k 50 xdrive is only one battery size(112kwh), so nothing really to be paranoid about. The ranges will vary by wheel size, like all brands. The 434 EPA number was likey done with the smallest 20 inch wheels.
BMW always has underrated all their specs, including range numbers of their...
BMW iX3 40 sdrive and xdrive both will start under $55k. The 50 xdrive with 400+ mile range starts at $60k.
Pulled from BMW press release:
"The first-ever BMW iX3 50 xDrive debuts in summer 2026 with a starting MSRP under $60,000 and an estimated range of up to 400 miles, followed in early...
Yeah these numbers seem overly optimistic.(What cycle test these brands choose does make it difficult to compare.)
According to these results, the Model Y Perf needs about 5.5kwh more to do 100miles. So in theory the Model Y would need 16kwh more capacity to cover 300miles. Yet the Model Y...
Nissan now gets 303miles with $29,990 Leaf.
300+mile range is ending up being the benchmark minimum. New car launches, you don't really want to be under that or you end up getting ridiculed like Toyota.
Dealerships also do have a plus...providing a traditional service center that is reliable, with many more locations.
I have owned several BMWs, easily of all legacy brands my favorite buying and servicing experience.
Not really. Trim vs trim level, pricing is more along the lines of this:
iX3 40sdrive ~ $50k
iX3 40xdrive ~ $55k
iX3 50xdrive ~ $60k
BMW will carry about a +/- $5k premium over R2. I would bet the BMW leases are the same or better than the R2. BMW always has competitive leasing.
Getting worried with the amount of people in this thread with bladder issues. You definitely should not have to use the restroom every 3 hours. Some of you need to get your PSA levels checked. Does everyone on Rivian forum live in senior living?
Going by the amount of confusion about things on this forum. They left a lot of questions unanswered.
The planned live stream would have maybe cleared some things up, but they cancelled it.
He never said silver and launch green were the only colors. In fact he went through colors and considered picking something else. He also mentioned All Terrain 20's being available on LE.
Kyle from Out of Spec also said in his recent R2 full tour video, LE will not have Coastal Cloud option. He too is disappointed as he is getting a LE, but wanted the light interior.
Or it ends up being a software locked battery.
It honestly doesn't make any sense it has same hp, tq, and 0-60 as larger battery Standard. Also the fact they just changed the range spec in less than 24hrs, because embargoed 265 got leaked the day before and got some ridicule.
Perf vs Perf...the Model Y Perf does have no-cost paint upgrade and white interior. Those will surely be $2-$3k on R2 Perf.
The value is in the LE R2 Perf with the no-cost Auto+ and Tow package.
Just looking at interior choices on R1 that are not paired with sound & vision are still $2500 to $3000. Tesla charges $1000 for their white interior. I'd expect at minimum to be no less than Tesla.
