There is no real & logical support for even the 320A requirement they had on their website, and it's now been removed.
You don't even need an 80A circuit to the Charge Station Pro unless you want to charge at peak speeds; it can be dialed down for smaller circuits.
The DC for V2H simply...
That's the case with all automakers, especially the legacies. In fact, legacies use antiquated microprocessor designs for most things...we should be in better shape with Rivian.
My hope is that the architecture is designed in a modular fashion that will enable upgrades if required.
Haven't read this thread, but I have a simple answer to the question:
When it no longer meets your needs.
Tech is always evolving so "outdated" is relative and an individual determination.
Production rate has exceeded 200/week. And R1S is now rolling off the line in limited quantity.
We talked to a "real" customer this week who took delivery...in December! Interview segments should go online S00N. An anomaly for sure, but real preorder holders have received vehicles. I'm...
We honestly don't know whether the swatches accurately reflect the final color either.
It's well beyond time for us to see the finalized color on an actual vehicle.
Any chance you could add tire weights to this as well? This could affect efficiency as much or more than tread pattern.
275/65 R20 is the same OEM size. 275/60 R20 is close to the same tire height as the tires on 21/22s, but would have more sidewall (look "meatier").
Those would be better for range, but keep an eye on the weight ratings of tires as well. Also, 275/60 R20 is very close to the height of the OEM tires on both 21 & 22s.
Correct. However, there is not an aftermarket wheel anywhere that has the proper offset of 48mm. People thinking aftermarket need to reconsider, at least in the near term.
Trying to use a lesser offset is going to make a Rivian look like a bro truck or clown car. Tires sticking out will...
