Where do you live? Iām on Long Island and I have nationwide. While Nationwide isnāt cheap, compared to everyone else, they were a bargain. These insurance companies are crooks.
The bigger question is, how many cases have you tried to verdict? Even more relevant questions are, how many product liability cases have you tried? How many cases that needed electrical and mechanical engineers have you tried? I'm a lawyer, too, and I know better than to claim I know it all...
I'm hoping for the day that Rivian makes it as easy as Tesla does with key fobs. With a Tesla, there are tons of waterproof and cheap key replacement options. Rings, bracelets, etc. Rivian made a handful of its proprietary bracelets with some of its early models. To the extent that anyone can...
Iām not sure if that accomplishes the same thing. In a Tesla the valet mode basically does a few things:
1. Locks the valet out of the GPS so they canāt look at where you have been and where your home is
2. Locks the valet out of most of the car settings
3. Restricts the speed of the car
4...
Clearly, you're bitter about your Tonneau cover and these other repair issues with Rivian (and I don't blame you at all), but that is apples compared to oranges. All of the heavy lifting to make this work will be on Tesla, and unlike those covers, which impact a relatively small group of...
I wouldn't put any of this on Rivian if it gets delayed. This is 100% controlled by Tesla - Rivian wants this to happen yesterday I'm sure - it only benefits them. Tesla, on the other hand, has many financial and technical reasons that could delay it. As someone commented above, when it comes to...
Someone got up on the wrong side of the bed. So much for promoting dialogue about Rivian here. Clearly you seem to think ā/sā means something, and if it does, clearly your asking a rhetorical (and obnoxious) question as Iām guessing it means something that had the person the question was posed...
It is still in beta, so itās unlikely that anybody has it. The fastest these things go from beta to wider spread releases 5 to 7 days. It could take longer if the beta doesnāt work as advertised they will spend more time tweaking it before they release it.
There is an excuse. Really someone who has no stomach for dealing with the major growing pains of a relatively new company shouldn't be buying a Rivian. They should wait 2 years. I know I bought the car hoping for the best but fully knowing that I could be in for a lot of headaches. No pain...
So sorry to hear about your frustration. Each of us bought into a new company a new car. I was there with Tesla about 6 years ago when I got my first EV. Minimal service options, long waits, part delays, etc. But I loved the car and powered through it, and now in 2024 getting repairs is...
Rivian definitely has tons of bugs to work out in its delivery process - in fact in just about every process. It can definitely be aggravating dealing with them at times, but the price, for me at least, has been worth it. I love my R1S and I know that Iām basically a beta tester of all Rivian...
I received mine and hardwired it into my R1S in about an hour. It was relatively easy following @EV Sportline ās video. You have to be comfortable contorting yourself a little as mentioned by @jebinc earlier in this thread, but otherwise itās pretty straightforward. You can hide most, but not...
I purchased EVSportslineās aftermarket solution. It was easy to install and it works. Sure I wish I didnāt have to install anything to get this functionality, but the reality is that Apple has a very closed off system, as does Rivian, as does Tesla. These companies all work hard to keep the...
I got the @EV Sportline ones. It took a while to get them as they are in much greater demand than they have inventory, but they are a company that has been around for a while, the product is solid, they do great videos to guide you to install, and their communication is good. Iāve been buying...
ācould hurt pedestriansā - in other words, they have no clue what issues, may, or may not exist, but that is not stopping them from speculating rather than providing accurate, actual information
It is what it is. Tesla has fans and it has people who hate the brand because they have personalized their issues with Musk and have transferred those negative feelings to all things Musk, including Tesla. This so called Center for Auto Safety, clearly is nothing of the sort - its comments are...
