it shows the part # for the entire assembly which includes a number of individual parts including the dampers. What I’d like to know is the actually part # on the damper itself.
One thing I forgot to mention is that many seem to feel the enduro motors are quieter than the Bosch. When I pressed the accelerator on the Gen 2, it delivered that familiar electric motor whine, seemed about the same as the Bosch volumewise. Personally, overly quiet motors are a negative for...
Here in Washington State we cannot do test drives of Rivians. The mafia like control of the auto dealer lobby enacted legislation which prohibits new automotive sales outside of the traditional dealer model. We do have a Rivian “pop up” that has a few cars on display, but you can’t do a test...
Somehow I got through life up till now with just 200hp, and all of a sudden I need 850hp?! Sure, it’s great fun but totally not necessary for me nor 90% of Rivian owners.
I do, however, love the torque vectoring of the Quad. My main issue is traction while traversing the ice/snow covered passes...
I’d look for a late model Gen 1 2023/2024. Some have suggested most of the important upgrades to subframe and suspension happened after vin 13000 for the R1S. I have 2023 Aug vin 18xxx and it has the cast subframe, Gen 2 knuckles and dampers. The 2024 models have later revisions of the Gen 2...
everyone qualifies for the EV tax credit when it’s a lease. That’s the whole point of doing a lease buy out as it allows you to take advantage of the EV tax credit which isn’t available for any Rivian purchase, save for a few lower priced R1Ts.
according to the author of the Reddit post, the buyout only requires you to pay the remainder of the principal. The only interest you pay is what was included in the payments you’ve already made.
Many have done this, see full details here
You absolutely will save more than if you had just bought it from the get go due to the $7500 EV credit. Chase should only require you pay off the principal so you will have only paid one month of interest.
it should be noted that the Gen 1 Large battery has 20kwh more than the Gen 2 Large so they’re not the same. For me, the Gen 2 Large battery would be too small and the Gen 2 Max battery is excruciating slow when charging to 100%. Gen 1 Large still seems like the best bet for range.
I tried to buy a used Quad in AZ last year. My guide didn’t know if it was possible and it took several days for him to determine that even if I flew down there to pick it up, I could only register it in AZ. Maybe that will change at some point, but I think that is still their policy. Although...
Massive drop of used Quads, some with only a 100mi for $73K:

you have to purchase and register the used ones in the state it’s sold.
Wow, they just dropped a ton of used Quads, I count 50! Some with just a few hundred miles like this one which is a steal for $73K

yes, starting about a month ago they started offering delivery of cars outside of your region. The fee is usually $800. However, Gen 1s are tough to find….they listed about 8 Gen 1 Quads last month with great lease deals but they may have been the last ones.
Late model Gen 1s (2023/2024) have many of the suspension improvements of Gen 2 so the ride is likely better than the 2022 and early 2023 models. My 2023 R1S is pretty smooth…
