  1. Denver to San Diego U-Haul Towing Trip Report w/ 2023 Quad R1S

Interesting experience! Glad you made it without issue. I have had great experiences while towing all sorts of things over relatively long distances. FWIW, I have yet to see the derating issues with the A2Z after ~12 sessions. None in temps greater than 80F, though.
  2. Just confirmed NACS adapter shipping

62XX VIN and I too received the confirmation email. I have been using the A2Z unit for a couple months without issue (15 times or so), so this is hardly as glorious a moment as I imagined back when the partnership was announced... For those of you holding out as a consequence of lack of UL...
  3. Anybody else here into electric boats?

Please share more details! Sounds like an interesting project.
  4. Powered Tonneau Retrofit Coming in Gear Shop for ALL R1Ts

My original powered Tonneau just broke last week after more than two years of reluctant operation and I have it scheduled for replacement in October.
  5. EVgo plug and charge Autocharge+ email

Their pricing is gnarly and the speeds tend to be pretty pathetic. Lots of ABB all in one 50kW units. I did, however, successfully enroll in Auto charge today. I had tried and ultimately failed when they announced it last year.
  6. Time for a new hat!

Congrats and welcome to the team!
  7. Technology is great until it isn't

No - the phone uses bluetooth and the card (and wrist band) use RFID. RFID has to be a few mms from a sensor to function.
  8. Technology is great until it isn't

Ford has implemented this since the 90s and I agree it is a winning feature. Kinda strange that others haven't emulated.
  9. Technology is great until it isn't

Same - I also stash the wrist band in a very discrete location such that I can at least start the vehicle if everything does to hell. Someone else with access to the truck can unlock remotely, customer service has the same ability.
  10. V4 SC Nearly Commissioned

Santa Cruz Stigmata with SRAM drive train. Fun custom paint job that my cousin got when he raced on the bike a few years ago. Great light weight set up! Tons of water up in that valley right now. Loads of water fording.
  11. V4 SC Nearly Commissioned

Not as far as I have heard. V4 dispensers, V3 cabinets. These cabinets were still bagged.
  12. V4 SC Nearly Commissioned

I am usually really good about pulling the computer off, but realized I didn’t yesterday when I looked in my rear view mirror! And now it is forever immortalized in the forums. Would be an expensive pot hole if that got ejected.
  13. V4 SC Nearly Commissioned

I have a V4 Super Charger somewhat close to me in Buellton, CA. I had read that it was nearing completion so I paid it a visit after a ride near by. The configuration of the dispensers is very impressive—the units are mid stall and the cables are nice and long. There is an integrated Magic...
  14. CA registration renewal is EXPENSIVE

$1123 for me for third year of reg in CA. Ouch!
  15. Rivian Solar Charging

If you are highly motivated and patient, PV-based travel is possible, albeit impractical :
  16. Rivian Solar Charging

We received several of their trailers for upfitting after they folded. The array configuration and battery tech was pretty anemic. It struggled to charge even my EV conversion 914 that had a cumulative 15kWh of energy. Still kinda cool looking though!
