Wow this is so exciting! I just checked everywhere I could look on my account and I'm not seeing a VIN anywhere yet. I assume it was fairly obvious when it showed up?
I already reached out to an electrician to try and get on his radar for a charger install, but if it really happens this quick I...
I'm about 4 hours or so away from my nearest SC, right now. Really hoping Rivian can find a legal strategy to allow them to enter my state to greatly reduce the travel time required. Expecting it to be a rough 2-3 years until that happens and fully prepared to deal with that. Happy to be a...
That's interesting, guess they already had your truck built? I guess that means they're still actively building / QAing mine then! Every email I get makes me jump.
I'm right there with you! I joined the party much later than you but it's clear that NC is lower on the priority list for Rivian at the present. I know that them delivering more trucks here means more maintenance overhead since they have to work on them out of state, but I can only hope that...
Oh, sorry if I came across as dismissive towards what Tesla has accomplished. That wasn’t my intention at all. Let me more clear:
Tesla achieved the impossible. They built a profitable new car manufacturing company in the United States, from the ground up. That alone is an endeavor that hasn’t...
At least Rivian is actually building trucks lol. They've built 10,000 so far. How many cybertrucks has Tesla bulit? Maybe a couple of prototypes? I'm extremely confident that Rivian will eventually get past the BS laws we have in NC. It's just a matter of time. I'm stressing over when my truck...
I figure I’ll lead with “it’s a new American manufacturer out of Illinois, called Rivian”. Gotta get in front of the obvious, unless you just enjoy that conversation ?
I think this is the best we have: https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/poll-time-from-guide-contact-to-delivery.5519/
Not sure why it's not pinned to be honest!
Good to know! I'm excited for all of this to kick off. Hoping they send me the charger ASAP for the same reasons everyone else has: lining up an install, making sure I'm covered here at home, etc.
Excited for you and hoping your truck is great!
Potentially stupid question: Does the charger ship when the 8-steps unlocks or after you pay? I assume it's all over the place but figured I'd ask.
@NC-Rivian I'm out in Charlotte and just got assigned a truck last night so hopefully my purchase process opens up soon! Great to see other R1Ts...
Oh that’s interesting! I actually spoke with my guide yesterday but I didn’t have a vehicleID showing up in my API responses at that point. Should I expect him to reach back out today? We reconfirmed everything on the call already yesterday.
Hey y'all, curious if there's anyone who kept track of when you got your 8-steps after you had a vehicleID assigned to you.
I just had a vehicleID show up in my account last night and am now obsessively watching my email for that mythical email to show up. How long is it usually for this phase...
Allegedly I'm getting it within the next couple of days. Wondering how quickly that access should open up after they've configured it to grant it.
Edit:
According to my API response / GraphQL query it looks like I've been assigned an internal vehicle ID. Guess I won't be getting access to...
This would be a valid guess (and I thought this too) but I’ve seen folks in this region get guides after me and get their trucks already. Surely I would’ve been in front of them?
This is certainly a part of my problem, I’m sure of it. I’m right in between the Richmond and Atlanta service centers. Maybe just a tad closer to Richmond. Others on this forum have and success changing their address to be closer to a SC, but that hasn’t worked for me.
I called CS a few weeks ago after not getting a hard answer from my guide and to my surprise (and by the sound of it to the surprise of the CS agent), I don't have a delivery window. This is coming from someone who confirmed their build with a guide on 5/18 (and signed a PBA). It’s been three...
I'd definitely take either the El Cap or FG with Forest Edge, if given the choice! Having said that I'm also surprised they didn't push it back. They must've really had a lot of the Forest Edge interiors hanging around.
Glad to see that there are folks taking these vehicles! Going on three months with my guide and still staring at an empty driveway, day-dreaming about all the adventures yet to come.
